For those of you who are new to LCF&G, there are some things you should know about our website. For one there are downloadable forms for our members only yearly contests (Big Bird (Pheasant, Turkey & Goose), Big Fish and Whitetail (Big Deer and Most Impressive Rack)). There are also helpful links to INDNR, ILDNR and an all state listing of DNRs. The calendar will tell all that’s currently going on in the way of contests, events and the like. If you haven’t already, visit www.lakecountyfishandgame.org to see what’s new. You can simply click on the banner at the top of this newsletter to go to our website.
PARK IN DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY Remember to park only in designated areas. Ruts in the grass, off the road, cause damage to our mowers.

WILD GAME DINNER 2017 Our 37th Annual Walt Millikan Memorial Wild Game Dinner was a rousing success! It was well attended and well run. Our best yet. President, Don Jones, has asked me to pass on a huge THANK YOU to all our sponsors, donors, committee and especially the workers who made it happen. On that note apologies to Dan MacKinnon for inadvertently leaving his name off the list of committeemen. An oversight Dan. Not intended to be a slight. .
SCHOLARSHIP FUND The application period for this scholarship has expired. New applications will be taken beginning in December for next year. Winners of this year's scholarship will be announced shortly.
MEMBERSHIP REVOKED The Board of Directors recently revoked the membership of a member for various rules violations. It seems he put himself and his young son in harm’s way by ice fishing on a closed pond. The pond had been closed for unsafe ice and because it had been stocked with trout in preparation for a trout derby. The member, who shall remain nameless here, had his membership privileges revoked for life. We have zero tolerance for rules violators and he did not respond to a request to appear before the Board to explain his actions. There are consequences. And we've had a new incident of someone urinating in the parking lot despite repeated warnings against such activity having been posted here for a year. DON'T DO THAT! You could follow this guy.^

FRONT GATE INOPERABLE The front gate at our property has become inoperable. We are currently researching options to repair or replace it. It should be operational shortly. In the meantime you can still access our property through the back gate, park in the parking area, and walk in to the front ponds, or fish the back lake. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Rest assured we’re working diligently to resolve this matter as quickly as possible.
