Garden Club of America Judges’ Commendations: Floral Design - Long Legged Waders – Class 3 – The judges commend this flock of fine feathered friends. Horticulture – Dahlia Classes 9 – 13 – Spectacular Display! Horticulture – The Roost Class 26 – We commend the wonderful diversity of interpretations of the Roost. Horticulture – Sanctuary Classes 27 A – B – C (judges sub-divided) – Outstanding creativity and plant material for the entire class! Horticulture – The Colony Class 28 – Spectacular display of many plants. Horticulture – Habitat Classes 31 & 32 – Beautiful lesson in botany. Horticulture – Birds Eye Challenge Classes 33 & 34 – We commend the growers of both classes; truly a growing challenge this summer. To the Garden Club of Darien – Overall Judges’ Commendations: Floral Design – We commend the staging for Floral Design. It is strong but well integrated with the overall theme. It added to the appearance of the show. The Horticultural Division – We commend the Horticulture Division for its overall quality and abundance. Photography Schedule – We commend the Photography Schedule for ample opportunity in interpretation and creativity. The Conservation Exhibit – We commend the Conservation Exhibit. It is of extremely high quality and beauty. It is an example of what a special exhibit should be. Education Exhibit – We commend the Education Exhibit for its quality and beauty. It is an example of what an education exhibit should be. ALL Classes! – We commend the schedule for ‘birdsong’! We love the wonderful graphic appearance. ALL Classes! – The members of the Garden Club of Darien for their hospitality! A warm welcome was extended to all. ALL Classes! – We commend The Garden Club of Darien for their choice of venue. The space is beautiful with lots of natural light.
