We’ll enjoy a special welcome dinner at The Roof overlooking Temple Square. After dinner, take a stroll through Temple Square to experience the amazing Christmas Lights display. With over a million lights, Temple Square and the surrounding area is truly a Winter Wonderland. Hilton City Center, Salt Lake City, UT (D) DAY 2 – City Tour – Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert This morning, enjoy a tour of the city known as “The Crossroads of the West.” Settled by pioneers in 1847, Salt Lake City became a pivotal city for the settling and building of the western U.S. Now a wonderful modern city in the heart of the Rocky Mountain West, Salt Lake City is a gateway to commerce, transportation and outdoors recreation. Salt Lake City cemented its place as a world class winter sports destination when it hosted the Winter Olympic Games in 2002. You will visit all the main sites including the State Capitol, Temple Square, the Avenues, University of Utah and This Is The Place Monument. Enjoy a little free time to relax in the afternoon. This evening, join the group for a special home-style dinner in a historic setting at the Lion House, Brigham Young’s home. Then it’ll be time for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert, featuring the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Orchestra at Temple Square, and Bells on Temple Square and some of today’s brightest international singing stars. It will be an unforgettable evening filled with breathtaking music and Christmas spirit. Hilton City Center, Salt Lake City, UT (B,D) DAY 3 – Salt Lake City – A Christmas Carol This morning tour the Natural History Museum of Utah. Located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains overlooking Salt Lake City, the museum connects Utah residents and tourists alike with the natural wonders and native cultures that define Utah. This afternoon enjoy some free time in downtown SLC to do some Christmas shopping. With two wonderful shopping districts, The Gateway & City Creek Center, within walking distance of the hotel, you are sure to find what you are looking for. Tonight join the group for dinner at a local restaurant followed by a wonderful production of A Christmas Carol at Hale Center Theater. Hilton City Center, Salt Lake City, UT (B,D) DAY 4 – Utah Olympic Park – Homestead Resort This morning we’ll take a scenic drive to the Park City area, where we’ll take a guided tour of Utah Olympic Park, the amazing facility that hosted events for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games and continues to host World Cup events. The historic mining town of Park City is now a world class winter and summer resort destination and home to the world famous Sundance Film Festival. We’ll take a short driving tour and have free time to explore historic Main Street’s many shops, art galleries and restaurants. In the afternoon, we’ll enjoy a short drive to the small Swiss village of Midway on our way to the Homestead Resort, a beautifully decorated historic hotel. Here we will be able to participate in optional activities including cross country skiing, snow shoeing, tubing, snowmobiling and more. Homestead is known for its one-of-a-kind geothermal hot spring, hidden within a 55-foot tall, dome shaped limestone rock known as the Homestead Crater. We’ll have time for a relaxing dip before an old-fashioned horse drawn sleigh ride this evening. Experience winter in the Heber Valley as it was meant to be as you glide along behind a team of horses and listen to the jingle of the bells. After a nostalgic ride, enjoy a delicious farewell dinner in this picture perfect setting.
