Cinderella: An Old Tale Once upon a time, there lived the good and kind Cinderella and her two mean stepsisters. Stepsister 1 said, “I will go to the ball to meet the prince.” Stepsister 2 said, “I will go to the ball to meet the prince.” Cinderella said, “I want to go to the ball, too.” But Cinderella did not have time to get ready for the ball. The Fairy Godmother said, “You will go to the ball and meet the prince. Here is a new dress.” So Cinderella went to the ball in her new dress. The Prince said, “You are beautiful.” Cinderella said, “I cannot stay at the ball.” The Prince said, “If you leave, I will look for you.” Cinderella ran home. The prince came to look for her. The Prince said, “Try on this glass slipper.” Cinderella said. “It fits!” The Prince said, “Will you marry me?” Cinderella said, “Oh, yes!” And Cinderella and the Prince lived happily ever after.
