Job description The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure timely and accurate billings for consignment customers on a regular basis as dictated by consignment agreements (contracts). These billings can range from daily, to weekly, to monthly based on the contract. Annual consignment sales dollars are $145mm and 28mm lbs which includes 22 customers at 42 locations. The secondary responsibility is to provide back-up support for the returned goods specialist. The incumbent will: •Interact with external customers to obtain consignment usage reports. Review reasonableness of customers’ reports. Investigate/resolve discrepancies with customers and process for timely and appropriate billing; •Work closely with marketing/sales/customer service/controlling/accounting regarding the availability of consignment inventory as issues arise; • Maintain a proactive approach to receipt of customer usage information; •Advise sales/marketing/accounting personnel if usage issues arise which prevents timely billing of consignment activity; •Investigate and resolve all past due consignment invoices by working with customer, sales, and marketing; •Understand returns process in order to be able to function as returned goods specialist’s backup.
Your qualifications The selected candidate is required to possess the following: •B.A./B.S. with 2 plus years experience, M.B.A./M.S. with 0 – 2+ years experience OR 7-10 years applicable business experience; • Working knowledge of SAP (SD and MM module); • Experience working with customers;
• Strong time management/organizational skills; • Strong prioritization skills; • Thorough understanding of consignment process; •Knowledge of billing process including invoicing, debits, credits and billing output; • General knowledge of Credit & Collections; • Ability to demonstrate team skills but also ability to be a self-starter; • Knowledge of Excel and Lotus Notes; • Ability to communicate well both verbally and written; • Ability to independently solve issues;
Preferred Qualifications • Accounting background demonstrated through education or experience.
