Business Bio I attended college at KSU from 1986 to 1991 and graduated a BS in Civil Engineering and a MS in Civil Engineering. Following graduation I went to work for Bucher, Willis & Ratliff Corporation (now Lochner) in 1992 and began a career in transportation engineering. Initial experience included primarily roadway design on KDOT projects. Eventual experience included additional tasks including drainage, developments, site design, and traffic signals, as well as surveying and project management. In 2013, after 21 years as a consulting engineer, I changed paths and went to work for Blue Beacon Truck Washes. I now am a project manager in the Real Estate & Construction Division and am responsible for coordinating design for new locations and modifications to existing facilities for Blue Beacon Truck Washes, Green Lantern Car Washes and Lighthouse Properties (hotels). This allows a unique opportunity to work with design professional across the country and be involved in all aspects of building & site design. Persona Bio I grew up on a farm outside the small town of Leonardville, KS about 15 miles north of Manhattan with my parents and older sister. I moved to Salina after college, met my wife (Peggy) and got married in 1997. After a brief sentence to Oklahoma, Peg & I returned to Salina and now live on a small farm in rural Saline County. Our 2 children, Abigail (13) and Mackinley (10), attend Southeast of Saline Middle/High school. In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors tinkering with various projects (home modifications, woodworking, fencing, etc.), as well as attending sporting or other events of Abby & Mack. Professionally, I enjoy being involved in KSPE and KSLS to maintain relationships with other professional engineers & surveyors, as well as contribute to student programs such as MATHCOUNTS.
