Ebony King, Elected Parent Ebony King currently works for the Accreditation Commission on Education for Nursing (ACEN) as the Director of Accreditation Services. She has served in various academic leadership roles to include VP of Academic Excellence for Medtech College, Director of Programmatic Accreditation, and Assistant Director of Nursing Programs for Accreditation and New Program Development at Kaplan Higher Education Corporation. She has served as a member on the Advisory Board for the National Health Careers Association (NHA) and currently serves as a surveyor for the Accrediting Commission for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), AdvancED, and the Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB). Ebony holds a Diploma in Surgical Technology, AS in Nursing, BS in Legal Studies and is completing an MS in Education degree from Walden University. Ebony currently resides in the John's Creek area with her husband and two daughters. She volunteers as as parent member of the River Trail Middle School Governance Council (SGC), Chair of the Fulton County Superintendents Parent Council (SPC), and 7th Grade Cheer Coach for the Northview Jr. Titans Cheerleaders. Go Titans! Ebony enjoys baking for stress relief and writing. She loves the Lord and is a strong advocate for God first, family, then everything else. Her passion is advocating for middle school children and especially girls, mentoring them to be their very best during the pivotal middle school years.
