Founded in 1944, CancerCare is the leading national organization providing free, professional support services and information to help people manage the emotional, practical and financial challenges of cancer. Their comprehensive services include counseling and support groups over the phone, online and inperson, educational workshops, publications and financial and co-payment assistance. All CancerCare services are provided by oncology social workers and world-leading cancer experts. Here are two programs that CancerCare’s Northern new Jersey Office would like to promote: Partners in Survival™ Workshop—In partnership with Men Against Breast Cancer and Eisai, the workshop will focus on the needs of men who support women living with any type of cancer, including breast cancer. The workshop will provide a practical and easy-to-understand method to assist with the
issues and needs of both patient and family. The event will be held with an optional Meet & Greet on Tuesday, October 17th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Defiant Brewing Company, Pearl River, NY with the workshop being held on Wednesday, October 18th from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Woman’s Club of Ridgewood, NJ. Free Wills Legal Clinic-‐Eisai Inc. Pro Bono Clinic—Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 11:00 am to 2:45 pm in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. Sponsored by Eisai, a company that supports many of CancerCare's programs, including the Magnolia Meals at Home and their Healing Hearts Bereavement Camp.
