Overview of George The George is in a prominent location on a busy crossroads between Birkdale and Southport town centre. The pub benefits from a large car park and sizeable beer garden that has a smoking solution and children¶s play area. A fully-fitted trade kitchen will also support the introduction of a value food offer. In addition there are 10 TVs for live sports viewing. A recent refurbishment has been undertaken to the lounge, bar and toilets, with new fixtures and fittings throughout complimenting the modern scheme. The pub is now in good shape for an experienced operator to launch the George as the go-to community pub in the area.

Regional Manager's thoughts on George The George offers a rare opportunity for a community focused operator to take on a blank canvas; rarely do pubs come on the market that are in such good condition and have such great facilities. The George has been completely refurbished throughout, and boasts extensive outside trade space plus versatile internal trade areas, with room for pool, darts and an area that can double as a small function room, along with a fully-fitted trade kitchen. The new operator will need to be community focused, enjoy running a sports and entertainment-lead venue, and be able to make the most of the outside areas and trade kitchen. Indoor trading area The trading area is split into two main sections; a bar and a lounge. The lounge is located to the front of the property, is in excellent decorative order and has TVs for live sports viewing. Also suitable for dining, the lounge can cater for 50 covers, with the fully-equipped kitchen conveniently located to the rear, which has recently been installed with new equipment. The bar is furnished with linoleum flooring, fixed and loose seating and also has TVs. The décor of the pub is traditional with two main fireplaces adding to the character of the property. The pub is suitable for all regular forms of live entertainment.
