HENRY COUNTY SADDLE CLUB CARPENTER FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

Any youth meeting the following requirements may apply for the Henry County Saddle Club Carpenter Foundation Scholarship:  Parents must be members of the Henry County Saddle Club. Preference will be given to 4-H members.  Must have a written recommendation from a community leader, teacher or minister as to character and personality.  Must plan to enroll in an accredited institution for post high school training. Preference will be given to high school seniors. The Henry County Saddle Club Carpenter Foundation Scholarship will be awarded up to 4 youth in the amount of $500 each. Henry County Saddle Club Foundation Scholarships are awarded to youth on the basis of 4-H youth involvement, involvement in horse related activities, financial need, community involvement, and scholastic ability. Scholarship recognition will be given at the Henry County 4-H Horse and Pony Show and recipients will be announced at the 4-H awards banquet each January. An interview of the candidates may be requested and the decision of the scholarship committee will be final. Receipt of the monies will occur by submitting a copy of first semester college grades to the Henry County Saddle Club. These can be mailed to the Henry Co Saddle Club at PO Box 5 New Castle, IN 47362 or hand delivered at the 4-H Awards Banquet in January. The Henry County Saddle Club Board shall comprise the selection committee for the Henry County Saddle Club Carpenter Foundation Scholarship Criteria for the scholarship is based upon the following: Essay
