Boland James C Boland has contributed his many business skills to leadership roles in numerous civic and healthrelated organizations benefiting the Greater Cleveland community. The son of James J. Boland, from County Clare, and Catherine Monaghan Boland, from County Mayo, he is a graduate of St. Ignatius High School, John Carroll and George Washington universities, and attended Harvard Business School. Now president and CEO of the CAVS/Gund Arena Company, he has responsibility for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Cleveland Rockers as well as Gund Arena operations. A former senior partner at Ernst & Young, among his other accomplishments Boland developed and managed the firm's national accounts program serving its top 200 global accounts. His many past and current board activities include Leadership Cleveland, United Way Services, University Circle, Hawken School, and the Great Lakes Science Center, among others. Boland's numerous health-related activities have included chairing benefits for the March of Dimes, United Cerebral Palsy, Cleveland Sight Center and Alzheimer's Association.
