WET MOUNTAIN VALLEY SADDLE CLUB JUNIOR BOARD OF DIRECTOR APPLICATION RULES AND EXPECTATIONS Thank you for your interest in applying for the Junior Board of Director's position. As the Saddle Club, our mission is to ‘To preserve our western heritage and culture by continuing its traditional events and lifestyle’. The role of the board members in advancing our mission is to remain focused and dedicated to fostering our youth. The Board of Directors believe that this junior position will help young people understand the inner workings of the organization, allow leadership development, and encourage continued membership in the Saddle Club.

Eligibility for the Junior Board Member position is as follows: 1. You may serve on the board and be a member of the current royalty if there are no other applicants interested in the board position. 2. You may receive only ONE scholarship per year. (If you are Royalty Queen and Junior Board member the same year, you will receive only one scholarship.) 3. As a junior board member, you are required to attend six board meetings per year. 4. You may hold the Junior Board member position more than once, but not in consecutive years. 5. You or your family must be dues paying members at the time of application. 6. Any scholarship money, if applicable, will be paid to the college of your choice with the check payable to you and the college. 7. You must maintain a 3.0 GPA while serving on the board.

Saddle Club Expectations: 1. You will be expected to conduct yourself in a manner that will positively reflect your position as a board member of the Saddle Club. 2. You will be expected to represent the Saddle Club and promote its mission. 3. You will be asked from time to time to assist the board in the operation of the club.
