Entered at the Postoffice at Kalamazoo, Michigan, as SecondClass Matter, under Act of Congress of July, 1894. Acceptance for mailing at special rate of postage provided for in Section 1103, Act of October 3, 1917, authorized July 30, 1918.

THE RECORD OF WAR SERVICE OF

GRADUATES, STUDENTS AND FORMER STUDENTS OF

KALAMAZOO COLLEGE, 1914-1919

In publishing the list of persons, connected with the college and engaged in the carrying on of the war, either in the fighting forces or in civilian work, the· committee in charge is conscious that there are undoubtedly many errors and omissions. It could scarcely be otherwise, when to a large extent our information has been dependent upon answers to copies of a prepared questionnaire which was sent out to all the known addresses of alumni and former students. In many instances we sent out copies twice, in1 order to get the desired data, when we were certain that the party in question was engaged in the war in some capacity or other. In some cases we have published such data as we have knowledge of, even though we were cognizant of the fact that the information was incomplete and possibly inaccurate. The College should have a complete and accurate war record of all graduates and former students. Do your part. Send all corrections and additions to this Record at once to Dr. Ernest A. Balch, Professor of History. He has charge of all war records for the College.
