Who we are Keith Goodwin Associates was initially established as a chartered quantity surveying practice in 1963. What we do Property Development Advice We provide development advice for both commercial and domestic projects from initial concept stage. Architectural Services & Cost Control We offer full architectural services for both domestic and commercial projects from conception through design and planning and building consent stages to final construction. Cost advice can be provided at every stage of the project.
Building Surveys We regularly carry out full Building Surveys and can provide estimates for considered repairs if required. We also carry out Preliminary Inspections of properties in advance of full building surveys for both domestic and commercial properties. Refurbishment The value of both domestic and commercial properties can often be substantially increased by carefully planned and costed extension and refurbishment works. We can advise on the merits and cost effectiveness of the proposals.

Building Disputes When disputes arise between Building Owners and Contractors, they can often be resolved before they develop into formal litigation with the help of expert advice. We can provide such advice.

As and when claims arise we can represent the Insured when negotiating claim settlements with the Insurers Loss Adjusters. Dilapidations & Schedules of Condition In commercial leases the obligations imposed by repairing covenants are often unclear and confusing. The tenants liabilities should be fully understood before any contract is entered into. We can advise on the obligations imposed by such covenants. We can also provide a Schedule of Condition recording the condition of the premises at the commencement of the lease which can then be appended to the lease agreement. Party Wall Matters The Party Wall etc. Act 1996 now provides guidance on the procedures to be followed by Building Owners and Adjoining Owners when works are proposed in the vicinity of party walls. Compliance with the act ensures that owners rights can be protected. We can advise on owners rights and prepare the necessary Party Wall Awards associated with the works.
