MATCHDAY BREW A BIG DAY AHEAD - 12.10.15
By Chris Brewerton, Blues’ Senior Commercial Sales Executive
The start of another week here at St. Andrew’s and a big day ahead for the commercial department this coming Saturday against QPR as we not only welcome well over a thousand guests to our suites for the 3pm kick off we will also be hosting the Birmingham City Ladies Player Awards 2015 sponsored by JS Spooner Contracts Ltd.
Looking beyond QPR, there is the small matter of Wolves at home on 31st October as we welcome our local rivals for a match that is always a key affair for our supporters, especially those with friends or work colleagues who are of an ‘Old Gold’ persuasion!
As it stands today, we are very close to our target of 150 tickets sold so it’ll be a great way to celebrate the end of the season for the girls. Unfortunately they weren’t able to make the final of the Continental Cup yesterday, losing 3-1 to Arsenal, but I’m sure that won’t dampen the night down too much.
It is naturally a very big game in our hospitality areas and that is reflected by sales, as our entire box packages are now sold out in the Main Stand, Gil Merrick and Kop.
The last few tickets are available from £25 inc VAT for Adults, £15 inc VAT for children with the VIP package sold out. Moving onto the men’s game and the Boardroom Club is also a sell out with the Jasper Carrott Suite nearing the 180 mark thus making it the most popular game of our season so far, no surprises given the great form of the team on the pitch. Again, final tickets are still available in the Jasper, priced at £125+VAT per person with complimentary bar on beers, wines and soft drinks, 4 course meal, pitch view dining and the usual fantastic atmosphere in the suite.
The Legends Lounge package has proved very popular as well with the early 12.30pm kick off having no effect on demand. However, surprisingly, the Gary Rowett sponsorship package is still available in the Jasper Carrott Suite where guests will have the opportunity for a Q+A with the manager ahead of the game, a commemorative photo with Gary, advertising presence on our big screen and matchday programme and hospitality to watch the match. Finally, keep an eye out for the Birmingham City half marathon team in the Morrison’s Great Birmingham Run on Sunday morning, myself, Joseph Trotman, a member of our sales team in commercial and Aiden Lynskey, Bar Manager at St. Andrew’s, will be flying the flag for the club.
