The community you’ve imagined… the care your loved one deserves.
Think, Do, Create, Learn, Contribute, Socialize, Connect and Experience. Each Oakmont community calendar is planned to include all of our Core Elements, listed above. Specific offerings will change from month to month and vary per location to reflect the interest and abilities of residents and local opportunities. A spring recipe from Oakmont's Regional Chef, Rina Younan Spring has sprung and it’s one of my favorite seasons! Everything blossoms and grows, and everywhere you look there are blue skies, colorful flowers and green grass. At Oakmont, many of our chefs will be getting their hands dirty planting Chef Gardens full of fresh herbs and spring vegetables that will be harvested and used in our restaurants all throughout the fall! One of the things I look forward to in the spring in my family is our family gatherings for Easter. Each year, we enjoy an afternoon meal to which we each bring our own signature spring dish to share. As you can imagine, as a Chef I have many! One of my favorites to share with my family is my famous Blood Orange Shortbread Bars. Highlighting the peak of the citrus harvest, these delicious, refreshing and sweet treats are something everyone will enjoy. This year, I am excited to share my recipe with you! Happy spring! Community Profile Angeles Sticka began working in Assisted Living in 2009. She started working at Oakmont of Concord as Business Office Director when the building was still under construction. As she saw our beautiful community take shape, she began to think of Oakmont of Concord as her “baby.” Angeles was soon promoted, and now enjoys her home at Oakmont of Concord as Executive Director. As the ED, she loves that she gets to make a difference in the lives of our residents. “I am honored to have the opportunity to get to know these amazing people,” she says. “I feel lucky each and every day to be surrounded by such amazing residents.” For fun, Angeles enjoys spending time with her family, indoor cycling, traveling, fine dining and, of course, shopping!
