May Elementary School PTO Newsletter September Fundraiser This year May Elementary School chose 2 new fundraising programs for the 2017-2018 school year. ABC Fundraising Cookie Dough and Blarney Stone Popcorn both offered a wide variety of product options at a low and convenient price. The fundraiser kicked-off on September 11th and ran through September 26th. The fundraiser was a HUGE success with students selling over $7000 worth of popcorn and cookies. Profits from the fundraiser will provide May School the opportunity to continue to support the learning environment by funding students field trips and enhancing the school community.
Harvest Festival This year’s Harvest Festival is scheduled for October 31, 2017. In place of traditional Halloween parties, the Harvest Festival celebrates the fall season at May Elementary. Students will participate in various activities in the afternoon some of which include crafts, games, and storytelling! Volunteers are needed to help Ms. Eva Chu, ELL Teacher, set-up and work the various craft and game booths throughout the afternoon. If you are interested in volunteering your time for this special event please call Ms. Eva Chu at 562-6331. As a reminder, if you plan to volunteer for any of the May Elementary School activities you MUST have a completed background check form.
