Weta Digital Senior FX Artist 08/2013 – 11/2013 Created Smaug dragon fire, heat haze and RBD sims for The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. Sony Imageworks Senior FX/Cloth Artist 02/2012 – 07/2012 Created volumetric, particle and geometry-based FX (Houdini) as well as Cloth & Hair simulations (Maya) for numerous characters in Hotel Transylvania. Moving Picture Company Senior FX Artist 01/2011 – 02/2012 - Sequence lead for first Prometheus trailer. Helped manage team of around 10 FX artists. Created pyroclastic dust clouds, volumetric fire and smoke trails, and heat haze and atmospheric rigs that were used by other artists in various sequences. - Created the diadem horcrux effects and worked on the Room of Requirements fire sequence for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. FX Artist/Pipeline TD 08/2009 – 10/2010 CG Artist 12/2006 – 10/2008 Created numerous effects (fire, debris, smoke, dust, water, crowds, etc), lit scenes, developed shaders, precomped scenes and developed pipeline tools for feature films, commercials, and music videos. Pipeline tools include Photoshop texture publishing, updates to HDX proprietary fluid & particle caching tools, as well as render optimization scripts used on various productions.

Rhythm & Hues Studios Lighting TD 06/2006 – 10/2006 Lit and precomped scenes for Happy Feet using Houdini and Rhythm and Hues’ proprietary software. Performed R&D for scene optimizations and setup. Real Media Digital Production CG Artist 05/2004 – 08/2004 Designed 3D sports animations for big screens at sports arenas. Completed modeling, texturing, lighting and animation.
