Rules & Regulations www.cincygfl.com FRANCHISE FEE The franchise fee is $125 per owner; but the league requires an additional minimum transaction deposit of $50 for a total payment of $175. Additional deposits during the season may be made in minimum increments of $25 and any unused credit will be returned at the end of the season. Please note transactions will not under any circumstances be allowed unless they are prepaid. PayPal is the preferred means of payment and can be accessed via the link on the website. Please contact Ryan for a remittance address or with any questions at [email protected]
Payments not received prior to the completion of Week 2’s event will result in retroactive prize money disqualification until such time that payment has been made. Owners that have NOT paid by the end of play in Week 4 will be terminated. All funds collected will be paid to the owners as dictated in the PAYOUT SECTION (See below). Franchise Fee Revenue (40 owners X $125 entry fee) $ 5,000.00 Transaction Revenue (last year’s actual) $ 4,833.00 Less: Website/Mgmt expense (incl pmt 1 of 2 for new site) ‐ $ 1,635.00 Gross League Payouts $ 8,198.00 INITIAL ROSTERS & MAINTENANCE Each owner’s roster will consist of 12 golfers including one (1) Captain and eleven (11) golfers from four other Golfer Tiers (see below) as determined by the Golfer Tiers list. Owners must at all times during the season maintain 12 total golfers and the required amount of golfers for each of the five Tiers. The Golfer Tiers will NOT be updated during the year, meaning this list will be in place for the entire CGFL season. Owners may select golfers from any Pro Tour (i.e. PGA, European, Senior, LPGA, etc.) but note that the majority of the league’s events are played are on the United States PGA Tour. Owners may select the same golfer. Initial rosters and lineups are due by Thursday, January 25th, 2018 by 3:00 AM EST. GOLFER TIERS – URL @ http://cincygfl.com/tiers Captain: 1 Captain golfers from the list at the above URL Tier 1: 2 Tier 1 golfers from the list at the above URL Tier 2: 3 Tier 2 golfers from the list at the above URL Tier 3: 3 Tier 3 golfers from the list at the above URL Tier 4: 3 Tier 4 golfers from the list or unlisted golfers at above URL Total: 12 golfers WEEKLY PLAY ‐ URL @ http://cincygfl.com/events For each tournament on the schedule for Weeks 1‐30 (refer to above URL or see attached list of events), owners must submit a total of 5 golfers, including 1 Captain and 1 golfer from each of the Tiers 1 – 4. Owners are permitted to substitute a lower‐tiered player in place of a higher‐tiered player (e.g. activate a Tier 3 in place of a Captain). However, it is not permitted to substitute a lower‐tiered player for a higher‐tiered player (e.g. activate a Tier 1 in place of a Tier 4). In short, owners may “bump up” a player but may not “bump down”. The owner with the highest PGA earnings in a given week will have his/her account credited $100.00. Ties are allowed and winners will equally split the credit. A 30% premium will be added to the purse for each of the four “Major” tournaments. The Week 1 lineup submission will activate an owner’s initial golfers. From that point owners may, on a weekly basis, activate and deactivate their golfers as they see fit. However, any and all changes must be made by the day of the Tournament, by 3:00 AM EST. Once per flight, a team will be granted a LATE PASS (allowed to submit a lineup after the deadline but before the first tee time of the Tournament). However, once the LATE PASS is used, the 3:00 AM EST deadline will be strictly enforced ‐ no exceptions. If no lineup changes are submitted, active golfers will remain active regardless of their participation in that week’s event. If an owner does not have five players participating in the tournament scheduled for that week or cannot legally submit a 5 player lineup, he/she may choose to (1) make a transaction (add/drop), (2) submit a lineup of less than 5 players, or (3) submit a 5 player lineup that includes a player not scheduled to play in hopes that the golfer gains entry into the field at the last minute.
CGFL CHAMPIONSHIP The top 30 in the season standings at the end of Week 30 will qualify for the CGFL Championship. Each owner will be assigned a golfer whose Fedex playoff ranking leading into the TOUR Championship corresponds to that owner’s CGFL Week 30 season ranking. If that owner’s golfer wins the TOUR championship (not the Fedex playoffs) it’s worth $200; 2nd place receives $75, 3rd receives $25.00 LINEUP ACTIVATIONS AND DEACTIVIATIONS Given that both the Commish and the Webmaster participate in the league, a confidential golfer activation/deactivation link is provided on the website. (http://cincygfl.com/lineups). If confidentiality is not a concern, owners may also submit weekly lineup changes via email using the Email link provided on the site. Please remember to copy BOTH: [email protected]
(Bill), and [email protected]
(Ryan). TRANSACTIONS (ADD/DROPS) Owners may add/drop players throughout the season, but must always maintain a 12 man roster. Transactions will be allowed throughout the season but owners are limited to a maximum of two (2) transactions per week, and a maximum of thirty (30) per season (or an average of 1 per week). Again, transactions WILL NOT be allowed unless they are prepaid. The transaction fee schedule is as follows. Captain Add/Drop: $11.00 Tier 3 Add/Drop: $5.00 Tier 1 Add/Drop: $9.00 Tier 4 Add/Drop: $3.00 Tier 2 Add/Drop: $7.00 Transaction requests not received by Wednesday at midnight, EST (based on email timestamp) will not be effective until the following week. The League Office will deny any transactions deemed to be outside the scope of the rules. If denied after a tournament has already begun, the owner’s roster will remain as it was prior to the transaction request, and the golfer previously active for that particular tier will remain as such. PAYOUTS In addition to the aforementioned weekly high credits, there will be five (5) six‐week flights to the Season (Weeks 1‐30). The top three (3) finishers of each flight (in terms of PGA Prize Money) will split the Flight Winnings according to the schedule below. Additionally, the top ten (10) owners in terms of prize money collected/earned for the full season (Weeks 1‐30) will receive a distributions (estimated in the End of Season) outlined below. $ 3,000.00 Owner(s) earning the most wkly prize $ Weekly ($100 X 30 wks) Flight Winnings (x5) $ 1,500.00 1st ($180.00), 2nd ($85.00), 3rd ($35.00) CGFL Championship $ 300.00 1st ($200.00), 2nd ($75.00), 3rd ($25.00) End of Season (top 10)* $ 3,398.00 Based on prior year transaction costs Total $ 8,198.00 *End of Season Distribution Payments: 1st = 36.0%, 2nd = 20.0%, 3rd = 12.5%, 4th = 10.0%, 5th = 8.0%, 6th = 6.0%, 7th = 4.0%, 8th = 2.0%, 9th = 1.0%, and 10th = 0.5%.
LEAGUE OFFICE The league has been organized and is ultimately ruled by the Commissioner, Bill Roberts ([email protected]
). In addition to the Commish, the Treasurer / Webmaster, Ryan Kyte ([email protected]
) assists in day to day management, moolah oversight, and website maintenance. Bill and Ryan collectively constitute the League Office, which from time to time, will be called upon to rule any on lineup disputes, illegal rosters, rules challenges, etc. The League Office has final say on all such matters. Appeals can be made and won via a league majority vote. While the League Office reserves the right to make “minor” in‐season changes to improve Weekly Play with the overall enjoyment level for the owners in mind, the League Office will not make “in‐season” major changes to league play without a 90% majority approval from the owners.
