Penguin Computing Scyld Cloud Workstation is a unique remote 3D visualization platform that delivers high definition, graphics accelerated, clientless remote desktops through a web browser and minimal network (e.g. 4G wireless broadband). No plug-in or application installation is required by a remote desktop client. Scyld Cloud Workstation supports secure authentication and simultaneous multiple users. 3D acceleration is supported on NVIDIA® GRID™ and Intel® Visual Compute Accelerator platforms. Traditional 2D desktops can be deployed using Scyld Cloud Desktop, a CPU based technology that is designed to deliver large-scale, remote visualization environments for 2D applications. Optimized for Low Network Usage Scyld Cloud Workstation’s optimized compression through NVIDIA® GRID™ and Intel® Visual Compute Accelerator technologies provides a local desktop feel with low bandwidth consumption (< 4Mbps per client). Additionally, users can hand off control, and a QoS algorithm intelligently adjusts the frame rate per client to ensure an optimal experience.

Scyld Cloud Desktop for 2D Applications Scyld Cloud Desktop provides network optimization of Scyld Cloud Workstation on a CPU-only hardware platform. Through Scyld Cloud Desktop, customers can deploy large scale remote desktop environments using open source or commercial virtual machine platforms for provisioning.

Collaboratiove Multi-User Mode Scyld Cloud Workstation enables multi-user collaboration and remote desktop access for up to ten temporary or permanently authorized users. Control can be handed off from one user to another for a truly collaborative workspace.

Secure Remote Desktops Scyld Cloud Workstation and Scyld Cloud Desktop enable remote servers to display desktops directly into a standard browser through HTTPS. This eliminates the need for a third-party client and the security considerations associated with opening non-standard ports into firewalls.
