Here's to summer around the corner ! Please find the information below for regional STEM camp opportunities. Some of these opportunities have applications available tomorrow. App Camp is a weeklong camp where students ranging from rising 7th graders to rising high school seniors will spend Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm learning to develop their own applications for Android platform phones. Students will be in a class with roughly 20 peers and will work both in pairs and as individuals to learn the basics of application development and to develop numerous applications before getting the opportunity to make their very own application from scratch. Every summer, K-State hosts summer programs designed to educate and inspire youth in a variety of academic, athletic, and extracurricular endeavors. Participants have the opportunity to further their education and skills while experiencing life at K-State and making new friends from around the county. We invite you to join us! University of Kansas Engineering Camp Summer Engineering Camp - Project Discovery is a weeklong, intensive learning camp for high school students entering the ninth through 12th grades. Two sessions are offered, one in June and the second in July. Campers choose from different engineering disciplines and work closely with KU faculty and graduate students as they complete a hands-on project. The camp lets students explore the different engineering disciplines and campers also get an up-close view of KU and engineering facilities. Students get to see how engineering and computer science play an essential role in improving the human condition. Summer Scholars Program
The Summer Scholars Program is a four-week, non-residential educational/preparatory experience that introduces selected high school juniors and seniors to a myriad of opportunities in the health care field. The program is designed to identify talented minority and economically disadvantaged high school juniors and seniors and to encourage them toward careers in medicine and other health science careers. The program is held during the months of June and July, and commences on the first Monday following the Fourth of July holiday and ends on the last business day of the month. Program components include:
Basic science enrichment
Exposure to various aspects of the medical field
Opportunities to interact with medical students and medical professionals
Interviewing and personal development skills
Information about preparing to apply to medical school

Aerospace Engineering Residential Camp (Girls) Students entering grades 10-12 in Fall 2015 June 8-11, 2015 Many other camps are available as well.
Come and experience what it means to be an aerospace engineer at WSU by designing and flying your own aircraft, experience the nationally ranked research facilities at WSU, and come to understand how aerospace has impacted our society and how you can dramatically impact our future. We look forward to giving you hands on experience of building your own model plane and making it fly while learning the basics of what it takes to be an aircraft engineer, all the while having a great time on Wichita State’s campus.
