The East Frame is all about people. Around half of the 14-hectare area will be used for housing. The other half will be open spaces and paved areas, including a central park running north to south with walking and cycling paths, community gardens and multi-use spaces. The central park crosses Gloucester, Worcester,

The public areas of the East Frame will connect with the Ōtākaro/Avon River Precinct (ARP) to create a people friendly, accessible, greener corridor. The ARP will be a destination that encourages people to spend time near the river.
