The Secret World by Vinayak Graves Anna and Sam are great friends. Anna is a smart eight year old girl. Sam is a tall and sturdy ten year old boy. They are both home-schooled, and they adore it. In their free time they read and talk to their other friends. Today they are in Anna's big, grassy and colorful backyard. Anna's backyard was filled with roses, tulips and blossoms. It was cold and windy, and the moon was shining right over the forest trees, and lighting up Anna's backyard.
They were talking about the big celebration they had been to a week ago. They went to celebrate a marriage with their families. They ate so much food, that they could not even eat breakfast the next day! Page 1
They were leaving to go home, when they heard a rustle in the bushes. "Freeze!" said Sam. The sky became darker and the wind started to howl louder. Just then, the moon shattered into a thousand pieces. "Run and take shelter!" shouted Anna.
They ran into the forest. Wherever they looked they saw animals screeching and running wildly. "I found a cave," said Sam. "Let’s take shelter in it," said Anna.
When they ran in, a big boulder covered the entrance of the cave. "We are trapped," wailed Anna. "Don't worry, I brought flashlights," said Sam. They decided to explore the cave.
When they had gone in a little ways, they saw a big gate, and on the gate the words "The Secret World" were carved. Everything was made of gold. They ran into a little hole in the gate. "Look at the golden buildings, horses, wagons, tables and plates!" shouted Anna and Sam.
When they touched the golden things, everything disappeared. They were still in Anna’s backyard. "Well we still had fun," said Sam. They said goodbye, and never told anybody about their discovery.
