Re: 2013-2014 Alternative Education Program-Southeast Site (Effective January 7, 2014)

Ombudsman Educational Services, Ltd. (“Ombudsman”) provides alternative education services to students who have been long-term suspended and/or expelled from Fulton County Schools. Ombudsman provides students who have been long-term suspended/expelled the opportunity to continue to progress academically while serving the imposed discipline. Your student is eligible to attend the Ombudsman program site located at 3430 Lang Avenue, Hapeville, Georgia (this site serves students from the following schools: Camp Creek Middle School; Paul D. West Middle School; Sandtown Middle School; Woodland Middle School; Tri-Cities High School; and Westlake High School). An Ombudsman program flyer is enclosed for your review. If you are interested in learning more about the Ombudsman Program, we invite you to visit the Hapeville site location for information and enrollment sessions on any of the following school days and times:

Monday thru Friday

8:00am – 12:00pm or 1:00pm – 3:00pm

It should take approximately one (1) hour to complete the information and enrollment process. The student MUST be present with the parent/guardian in order to enroll in the Ombudsman program. There will be a middle school session and a high school session. The program will follow Fulton County Schools 2013-2014 academic calendar. Students who enroll will attend the center daily during the following session times: Middle School Students

7:30am – 12:30pm

High School Students

12:30pm – 4:30pm

Transportation and meals will not be provided. However, school supplies (i.e. paper, pencil, pen, paper, notebook, etc.) will be provided to students who enroll in the program.
